## World-Building Layers

- Resources: what is scarce, what is abundant, and how that shapes conflict
- One unique environmental feature that influences culture

### Society and Culture
- Power structure: who holds power and how they maintain it
- Social divisions: class, race, religion, or other divides that create tension
- Economic system: how people survive and trade
- Cultural values: what does this society celebrate, fear, and taboo?

### History
- The founding myth or origin story
- One historical catastrophe that still shapes the present
- An ongoing legacy conflict

### Magic or Technology
If applicable: what are the rules of [MAGIC_SYSTEM / TECHNOLOGY]?
- What can it do?
- What are its limits or costs?
- Who controls access to it?

### Factions and Power Players
List 3-4 factions with competing interests. For each: goals, methods, and relationship to the protagonist's story.
